Packaging Design

The inspiration for the distinctive design comes from the tea plantations within the sichuan, henan, and fujian provinces in china. The shapes of the terrain, as well as the patterns on the hands of the tea pickers, helped the creators come up with a standout design language for the product. The chatu collection features three different types of tea (white, green, and red), while each textured packaging replicates the shape of the plantation on which the specific tea was harvested. the tea leaves are wrapped in small two-layer cotton bags, which are then enveloped by an oval capsule, decorated with rough swirly patterns. This package is made of moulded pulp to resemble traditional chinese teapots. it is also colored with natural dyes in red, dark green, and light green tones. The packaging is designed to be breathable and as environmentally friendly as possible. Each package also comes with a note that gives users more information about the specific type of tea they have purchased, educating them about the flavor and the agricultural features of the plantation that make it special. It also advises them on how to brew the tea for the optimum experience.
